Forensic Documentation

(Analysing for authorship)

Attributing authorship is often a matter of legal urgency. Our independent expert in this field is highly regarded. The method used is a recognition system applied to human utterance, whether written or spoken, based on analysing sequences of language units by acumulative sum method of counting. Each person's 'fingerprint' retains consistency across his or her written and spoken utterance, and across different genres.

Problems addressed may include contested confessions and statements, anonymous letters, proving or disproving plagarism, analysis of authorship of disputed literary and other texts. Our consultant will prepare a full report and, under certain circumstances, appear as an expect witness in court proceedings.

Polygraph Testing

Our work falls into three main categories:

  1. Pre-employment screening, to verify that information given to employers by potential employees is truthful.
  2. Honesty Maintenance, a programme to help employers to contain and eliminate staff theft, and
  3. Specific Investigations, to identify the perpetrators of specific incidents, such as theft of cash (the most common reason for testing), property or information. In addition, our operator works on cases involving terrorism, murder, rape, molestation and marital infidelity.

When Polygraph examinations are to be carried out, the examiner is given a full briefing on the circumstances relating to the incident or situation. Each subject is then interviewed in depth before a series of questions is discussed and agreed - questions are incident related. The Subject is then connected to the Instrument by means of an arm-band, two finger sensors and two convoluted rubber tubes which encircle chest and abdomen.

The agreed questions are then asked in sequence, and four 'pens' scribe onto a moving chart the reactions of the Subject as the questions are asked and answered. The resultant chart can then be analysed to detect truthfulness or deceit.

Our clients are protected by full confidentiality, and include governments, national security agencies, police forces, international corporations and banks, jewellery companies, leisure groups, hotels and restaurants, shipping and airlines, manufacturers, and a wide variety of retailers in addition to many private individuals with specific problems.

A Polygraph Instrument is in effect a sophisticated piece of medical equipment which measures autonomic nervous reactions, which take place in the human body when an 'important' or incriminating lie is told - this is despite the fact that such reponses are usually not visible to the eye. Experts claim an accuracy of 99% in their findings.

Since the beginning of this century, Polygraph has been widely used, particularly in the USA, by governments and law enforcement agencies - always with the full consent of the Subject. Our operatives have conducted many hundreds of examinations in the United Kingdom, Europe the Middle East and Asia

Private Investigations

In keeping with the quality of all our products, our in-house investigator is considered by many in the industry to be ‘the best in the business’.

We can carry out private investigation work in many different areas, including:

    static, mobile, video, photographic and
    electronic surveillance
    employee vetting
    tracing
    undercover operations
    domestic and matrimonial work
    juvenile absconders

Overt Investigations

This form of investigation is normally conducted into suspected or actual incidents of theft, fraud and corruption. They are conducted by senior operatives and comprise of interviews with all suspected and relevant persons, combined with any necessary checks, background research and follow up action. Overt investigations can also include the tracing of possible accomplices, taking witness statements, attending disciplinary hearings and providing security personnel or security equipment. Apart from establishing the perpetrators of any fraud, this type of investigation can be a useful deterrent against future attempts to carry out activities damaging to an organisation.

Undercover Operations

In this type of investigation, a plan is put into place to allow our operatives access to staff to investigate and report on activities that our client suspects may be damaging to an organisation.

Typical areas covered in this type of investigation
would be:

    theft and pilferage
    union activities
    staff attitudes towards management/
    supervisory staff
staff attitudes towards a potential takeover/merger
malicious damage to equipment and vehicles
    customer care
    employee time keeping, attitude, conscientiousness
persons engaged in criminal/other activities damaging to the company

You will be provided with regular written reports detailing all activity which affects the productivity levels and smooth running of your company/ organisation.

We will be pleased to discuss any other areas where our private investigation service may be of assistance.

Counter-Surveillance Sweeps

We are able to offer a range of training facilities, catering for clients who are new to the world of electronic eavesdropping technology through to operators who are experienced in this sphere.

Courses are appropriate to both security management and operational personnel. ‘Hands on’ is a key feature of the course which includes search exercises involving currently available bugging devices and ‘state of the art’ electronic counter-measures equipment.

The programmes cover:

    Risk Assessment
    Threat Assessment
    Defence Strategy, initial and on-going
    Planning Counter-Measures Operations
    Equipment:
    Audio
    RF Far Field
    RF Near Field
    Electronically Aided Physical Search Report
    and Analysis

The courses are for one or two days dependent on the depth of training required. Courses normally take place at our London offices, however training can be carried out at our clients’ premises if requested.

Bodyguards - Close Protection Teams

We can provide either individual or full teams of bodyguards to our clients upon request.

Today’s bodyguards are highly skilled and motivated individuals, trained to constantly assess potential threats to the client and take the necessary steps to minimise them.

The bodyguards we provide are experts in First Aid, defensive and evasive driving, threat assessment, weapons systems, unarmed combat and many are fluent in two or more languages. All are fit and highly intelligent and will not look out of place in any social or business environment.

Trained Dogs

The escalation of crime rates, especially drug related crime, and the current increase in terrorist threats, and indeed action, has resulted in a huge surge in demand for trained dogs.

We have therefore formed an association with the UK’s leading experts in the supply of trained dogs and handler training to put our company in a unique position to supply our customers’ requirements.

We can now offer:

Search and Detection Dogs
(drugs and explosives)

To detect and indicate the presence of any substance it has been trained to find.

Passive Search Dogs

To search for a substance which may be hidden on a person, whether it be in a queue of people outside a night-club or passengers walking through an airport terminal.

Security Dogs

To detect the presence of an intruder and defend the handler, if necessary, with or without words of command. Security dogs have over many years proven to be the best deterrent against physical attack on personnel or premises.

General Purpose Police Dogs

This is an all-round dog trained in many disciplines, being bold but not unnecessarily aggressive. These disciplines cover: security work, article search, tracking and man search.

Vehicle Search Dogs

Specialising in the searching of vehicles and ideal for border locations where vehicles are searched in large numbers.

Tracker Dogs

Can be used in an urban or rural environment to find forensic evidence and track the freshest scent available over varied terrain and in all conditions.

Mine Detection Dogs

To locate mines and booby-traps using a variety of methods to suit a particular requirement.

A trained dog will only work with a handler who has the skill, understanding and with whom there is mutual trust. An intensive course will be provided to enable handlers to make the best possible use of these highly skilled animals. Training instructors can also be provided to work in host countries.

Trained dogs and handlers can be provided on a daily fee basis for short term projects.
